在学校或者公司，你一定有非常要好的朋友吧！你总有一些小秘密，分享秘密是一件很快乐的事情，还记得小时候跟小伙伴钩手指发誓保守秘密的情景吗？现在不流行钩手指了，但是你可以这么说了：
This is just between you and me
这句话的意思就是“你知我知，天知地知”，说明两个人之间非常信任，或者，这个秘密是绝对不能泄露给外人的哦。
Between you and me 这个片语还有两个变体，一个是between ourselves，另一个是 just between you and me and the bedpost / four walls / gatepost / lamp-post. 我们来看几个例子：
Just between you and me, it was Janet who proposed to Bill rather than vice versa.
通常要说什么秘密之前，都要先说between you and me。
还有两句酷一点的，一定要小声说哦：
This doesn't leave this room.
This is for your ears only

小心别“泄密”
说过了保守秘密的“天知地知，你知我知”，该来说说“泄密”的表达了。
1.Spill the beans 泄漏秘密
Spill the beans 的意思就是“泄露秘密”，含有“泄露秘密后破坏了计划或是破坏了准备给某人的惊喜”的意思。例如：
Don‘t spill the beans. It‘s supposed to be a secret.
别说漏了嘴，这可是个秘密哦！
2. Blow the gaff (on something)
这个片语的意思也是“泄密”，但它的后果可比spill the beans 要严重，泄密的后果可能会给当事人带来麻烦。例如：They killed Green because he was about to blow the gaff on their drug dealing. 他们杀死了格林，因为他要把他们贩毒的事情说出去。
3. Let the cat out of the bag
这个片语应该是大家最常见到的表示“泄密”的片语吧。据说是来源于古老的英格兰。当时卖猪的小贩都会把猪装在口袋里，以便购买的人拿着方便。通常购买的人都会相信袋子里装的就是猪，不会再检查。这样就有一些不良的小贩，将猫或者狗装在袋子里，蒙混顾客，于是就出现了这样一句流行语：Letting the CAT out of the Bag。于是也就有了今天关于“泄密”的这个表达。例如：
We wished that the author had not let the cat out of the bag. 我们希望作者没有泄密。
